A Place to Gather & Explore - Chehalem Cultural Center

A place to create, a space to gather, to learn, and explore. Newberg’s Chehalem Cultural Center (CCC) is all of that, and no visit to Newberg is complete without stopping in.

Built as a public school in the 1930s, today, the Cultural Center is a state-of-the-art facility for meetings of all sizes. There are two art galleries, a ceramics studio, a recording studio, classrooms, a small theatre, and a culinary center. Future expansion plans call for the addition of a 250-seat theatre.

More than a building, though, the Chehalem Cultural Center hosts a bevy of events, large and small. CCC is the site for Martin Luther King Day events, the Oregon Truffle Festival, the Willamette Valley Lavender Festival, and the Camellia Festival. Also, various concert series, exhibitions, plays, and lectures fill out the calendar. Something is going on there every day.

Making the arts accessible to everyone is one of the center’s goals. By exposing the community to world-class art, we all benefit.
