Currents Gallery’s Sweet 16 Show
Currents Gallery in McMinnville extends a special invitation to join us in Celebrating our SWEET 16! (our 16TH year of doing business in McMinnville, that is!) The April show at Currents will feature the beauty and individuality of the artwork of the seven gallery owners, that comprise the heart of the gallery. A wide variety of diverse mediums will be on display, including colorful and intriguing abstract paintings by artists Kathleen Buck and Sharon Cook. Kathleen works primarily in acrylics, and Sharon in Oil and Cold Wax. Phyllice Bradner not only entertains with her whimsical and animal themed wood block prints, etchings and silk scarves, but also her rich Klimt-like acrylic paintings. Claudia Herber and Ann Durley are both stellar 3D artists; Claudia specializing in gourd carving, burning and painting; Ann specializing in assemblage of both playful and dramatic mixed media clocks. Ilsa Perse and Marlene Eichner both work with fiber and fabric; Ilsa specializing in natural, hand dyed scarves, garments and bound books; Marlene focusing mostly on embroidered and appliqued wall art and purses. Don’t miss this exquisite show! Now’s the time to start celebrating!
