Hispanic Heritage Month in Newberg

Sep 15, 2020

Hispanic Heritage Month in Newberg

The idea for National Hispanic Heritage Month celebrated from September 15 to October 15, began to promote the history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic-Americans, including those whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central, and South America. Hispanic and Latino Americans are an integral and treasured part of our Newberg community, and their achievements and contributions are to be celebrated by sharing their culture, wisdom, and creativity into our lives.

During this month, there are many opportunities to pay tribute to the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society. Locally, the Chehalem Cultural Center is hosting a variety of events. A complete list of activities is here.
