Distilleries

With the grape harvest underway all around them, Colin Fisher and Kate Coulter have set off on a different path. High up in the Ribbon Ridge AVA, they’ve launched Killdeer Distilling. Colin has been studying the distillation science for a while. It’s then been a lengthy process to convert a bull barn into one-part distillery, and one-part tasting room. When you take a taste of their newly released bourbon, rye, and vodka, you’ll know the effort has not been wasted. These are high-end spirits — a very welcome addition to Newberg. They’re located next to Eminent Domain on Ribbon Ridge Road. Of course it’s just a few minutes from Portland, but you’ll know doubt, feel a world away.
