Taste Newberg, the official online visitor resource for the city of Newberg, is hosting the second annual Newberg Truffle Month starting February 1. Located 40 minutes from Portland, Newberg will offer truffle-themed lodging packages, dining specials, and seasonal products throughout the month of February. The full list includes 16 restaurants, wineries, hotels, and shops featuring truffles from Oregon and beyond (please find the full list below).

The Allison Inn & Spa, (2525 Allison Lane)
Guests will be treated to a five-course “truffle celebration” meal at JORY restaurant on Friday and Saturday nights in February when you book the Celebration of Truffles package. The package includes an overnight stay in a luxurious deluxe king guestroom and a meal that begins with Silky Leek Soup topped with black truffles, followed by a savory “Truffle Pumpkin Pie,” then Fort Klamath Sturgeon with truffle jus, Braised Painted Hills Beef Roulade with truffled pommes aligot, and finishes with a Chocolate Truffle Beet Cake. Lifestyle Properties, (100 N. Springbrook Road)
Will host of a broad variety of Newberg vacation rentals, from stylish, affordable apartments in the heart of downtown, Yamhill Flats, to luxurious homes like The Pearl, will offer a truffle package at all of their Newberg properties in February. 2022 Truffle Month Additional Participants
Owner Stefan Czarnecki and his trained truffle dog Ella will take you on an Oregon truffle forage adventure. $250 per person includes a 1-2 hour truffle hunt, a truffle-themed lunch, transportation to and from lodging, truffle education and culinary tips, and a truffle take-home gift. Every tour ends with an intimate wine tasting with some of the region’s top winemakers, such as Scott Flora from Native Flora Winery, who will share his wines on the February 12th tour.
Chapters Books & Coffee (701 E. 1st St.)
Newberg’s independent bookstore and coffee shop also highlights local products, including local truffle oil made nearby at the Joel Palmer House in Dayton.
Good Company Cheese Bar & Bistro (602 E. 1st St.)
This gourmet food shop and café in Downtown Newberg will feature a special truffle cheese and charcuterie plate throughout the month of February. The shop also has several truffle products available.
Honey Pie Pizza (112 ½ S. College Street)
This pizza shop down an alley in a former garage serves up artisan pies every night for takeout or enjoyment on their tented outdoor patio. For Truffle Month, the pizzeria will offer the addition of freshly shaved truffles to any pie.
Knudsen Vineyards (9419 NE Worden Hill Road, Dundee)
This esteemed winery a stone’s throw from Newberg will host a truffle hunt, wine tasting and an Oregon truffle-themed lunch on Saturday, February 5. The truffle hunting adventure will be led by Joey, an award-winning truffle hunting dog, and her experienced handler and owner, Ava Chapman. The experience is limited to a small group of 14 people and reservations are required.
Miss Hannah’s Gourmet Popcorn (200 Highway 99W)
Newberg’s cheerful popcorn purveyor will feature infused truffle popcorn throughout the month of February.
Newbergundian Bistro (203 Villa Road)
The French-inspired bistro will highlight truffles throughout their menu during the month of February, available for outdoor dining or to-go meals.
The Painted Lady (201 S. College Street)
Oregon’s only Forbes Four Star & AAA Four Diamond Dining Experience will feature truffles on their February prix fixe menu, available Wednesday through Saturday.
REX HILL (30203 N.E. Benjamin Road)
The estate winery recently unveiled a modern tasting room, which is open daily for tasting appointments inside, as well as on the heated patio. Throughout the month of February, in-house chef David Sapp and his team will be crafting Oregon black truffle butter served with a baguette, available to add on to any wine tasting experience, and will also be utilizing truffles on their Weekend Wine Lunch menu throughout Truffle Month
Ruddick/Wood (720 E. 1st Street)
Downtown Newberg’s farm-to-fork restaurant offers covered, heated patio seating, as well as a menu of food, wine and cocktails to go. When truffles are in season, the restaurant offers hand-cut truffle fries, available to-go.
SubTerra Kitchen & Cellar (1505 Portland Rd.)
This recently refurbished local favorite will have a special truffle menu throughout the month of February, featuring shaved and infused truffles on seasonal dishes. The truffle menu will also include a truffle cocktail and an unexpected truffle dessert.
Wolves & People Farmhouse Brewery (30203 N. Benjamin Road)
Each winter, in collaboration with the Oregon Truffle Festival, this farmhouse brewery makes La Truffe: a coveted truffled hazelnut stout. The beer will be available in February, to enjoy in the brewery’s beer garden or in bottle to-go.
