In Newberg, the experiences are as varied as the seasons.

Every season in Newberg has its own special gatherings. In Cellar Season, there are wine and culinary events like The Painted Lady’s Experimental Dinner Series and Jory’s Winemaker Dinner at The Allison Inn & Spa. In spring, you’ve got the Camellia Festival and Memorial Day boat races. Summer’s the time for the Willamette Valley Lavender Festival, the Old-Fashioned Festival, and black box concerts at the Chehalem Cultural Center. In the winter, it’s the Newberg Truffle Trail.

Spring

The Camellia Festival fills the town with color, music, and good food. Gardens bloom, tasting rooms open wide, and the season of renewal inspires fresh beginnings.

Summer

Lavender fields in bloom, the Old-Fashioned Festival downtown, and concerts under the stars. Summer here means long days filled with color, sound, and tasting in all its forms.

Fall brings Newberg’s flavors into focus. Wineries pour new releases on tables laden with local harvests. Chefs build menus around mushrooms, pears, and truffles pulled from nearby woods. The crisp evenings are ideal for fireside tastings, art strolls, and slow meals that linger long after the plates have been cleared.

Winter

Winter is truffle season in Newberg, and the Oregon Truffle Festival celebrates it right at the source. Local chefs create menus built around these rare finds, matched with pours from nearby wineries. Between long and leisurely meals, explore art, music, and history. If you can picture a bucolic valley in winter, that’s Newberg.
