Hispanic Heritage Month at the Chehalem Cultural Center

Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations will kick-off with a special reception on September 13, where attendees can enjoy traditional Mexican snacks and refreshments, along with a live performance and an art exhibit, while getting an introduction to the exciting events lined up. The festivities will continue with Latin Dance Night, Lotería Game Night, and Craft & Cafecito Night. The festivities will wrap up with the annual Día de los Muertos celebration and a special screening of Coco in the brand new LaJoie Theatre.

Events are open to a mix of ages and pre-registration is encouraged. 

September 13 | 5 – 7 p.m.: Opening Reception/Launch of Loteria Community Passport

September 14 | 2 – 3 p.m.: Youth Book Club – Rainbow Weaver = Tejedora Del Arcoíris

September 19 | 6:30 – 10 p.m.: Latin Dance Night 

October 10 | 6 – 7:30 p.m.: Loteria Night

October 24 | 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.: Craft & Cafecito

November 1 | 5 – 8 p.m.: Día de los Muertos Celebration

November 2 | 2 p.m.: Family Movie: Coco
