John Deere, a global leader in agricultural and heavy equipment, has humble beginnings. Founded by a blacksmith, it has grown from small beginnings to a global leader in the industry. Today, Deere holds 40% of the U.S. market and 25% of the worldwide market. The company’s innovative and creative marketing strategies have catapulted it into a global name, impacting communities and economies in various ways. 

Equipment owned by local residents, such as Chuck Kadell and Cliff Watts, and long-time farmers, such as Ray Kauer and Charlie Chegwyn, will be on display.

The Yamhill County Historical Society began in 1957. Its mission is to protect, preserve, and share the history and heritage of Yamhill County. The Society houses the vast Museum’s collections, research library, changing exhibits, store, and administrative offices.
