February is Truffle Month in Newberg

Jan 14, 2021

February is Truffle Month in Newberg

Newberg is teeming with truffles. We're talking about the prized, mysterious, buried treasure that grows on the roots of trees (don't get us wrong, we love the chocolate kind, too!). This intoxicating culinary delicacy has fascinated and delighted people for centuries. Truffle season is something we look forward to every winter when native Oregon truffles are harvested right here in the Willamette Valley. Largely thanks to the annual Oregon Truffle Festival (virtual this year but customarily held in Newberg), our local chefs and artisans look forward to featuring truffles on their winter menus.

This year, we invite truffle lovers to Newberg throughout February to experience Truffle Month in Newberg, highlighting staycations and truffle experiences at wineries, restaurants, shops, and hotels. From luxury overnight stays with in-room truffle-themed dinners to truffle beer and truffle fries, Newberg is the prime destination for truffle fans and the truffle curious. Here are a few ideas to plan your visit!
